Merry Christmas to All

MERRY CHRISTMAS FELLOW CROSS STITCHERS

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all a very Happy Christmas and safe and joyous New Year. I hope you all have a bit of a break from your busy lives and get a chance to catch up with family and friends and enjoy some leisure cross stitch/crafty time.

I'd like to publish an updated photo of my BAP of Girls at the Piano but unfortunately I haven't really completed any more pages since my last entry and would only like to post after a full page is complete.  My goal WAS to get one page done a month, but I think I may have been a little too optimistic, so I'm now planning on a page every 2-3 months.

Anyway once again, enjoy the holidays if you are lucky to get them, will write again soon when I have an updated photo to post.  Take care.

Second Page Complete

Hello followers,  it is sooo nice actually saying followers now I actually have 15 of you.  Thankyou so much for checking out my progress and leaving me such encouraging comments.  Crafty Princess has done well to get me some followers so I owe it to her to atleast update my blog.  I must admit I didn't realise it would be so involved.  I think it takes me an average of 3 hours to complete one block of 100 stitches.  I'm not sure if that is really slow but the way my calculations work, I'm thinking I may need to live to 125 years to complete this Golden Kite piece.  I do love it though and can't wait til I can actually see signs of a girl or the piano, which hopefully will be only a year or two down the track (ha ha).  Anyway here goes, will try and upload my photo (without the assistance of Crafty Princess !!!!).

Yeeeeh I must say I downloaded it without too many dramas.  Hope you guys can see the progress...Until next time, take care and thanks for following.

Little Progress to Show

Well hello there followers,  its been over a month since my last entry and I'm afraid I have not progressed much further.  However I thought it would be ashame not to show the few extra squares I have stitched.  I am really enjoying it and hope to have my second page completed within the next few weeks or so, wooo hooo.  The parking thingy is working excellently and is saving me lots of time.

I have to thank the Crafty Princess for her wonderful assistance in updating my blog and showing me how picassa web photos work.  Yeeeeh now all I have to do is try and add the photo and see how it uploads.    Here goes....  Well so far so good but I did think the photo would have appeared after my "here goes" line...  Anyway followers, you get the drift...here is my latest photo.

Take care all and until my next entry, happy stitching.   xxx

Experimental Parking and One Page Complete

Wow I have two exciting things to write about today.  Firstly I finally finished my first page of this cross stitch, which means only 41 pages or so to go..yeeeeeeeeeeh.  Secondly I have started on the second page and have begun experimenting with "parking" thanks to the great assistance of The Crafty Princess (thanks lovie) and a great blog site Princess directed me to which explains exactly how to park.  I love the idea and so far it is working great.  Will update as I go, and will try and add a new picture of my progress...thanks for reading followers (ha ha ha).

Blogging is a Learning Process

Hello world (as John Laws would say),

Its been a week or so since my first entry and I am ashamed to say I have only stitched about 200 crosses since my last entry and as such I have no photo to add.  Just thought I'd drop a line to say I have redesigned my Blog and have added the most gorgeous photo of my most special babies, April and Tito in the title.    Enjoy.  Hopefully my next entry may have an updated photo with a noticeable difference.

The Beginning of Girl at the Piano

Thanks to Crafty Princess and Mrs Dibble, I have decided to start my own blog.  Unfortunately I am not anywhere near as talented or craft orientated as the above two mentioned but I will endeavour to publish photos  of my cross stitch as I create it.  This cross stitch was inspired by my very own piano teacher Miss Joy King who taught me piano from the age of 10 until about 21.  Joy was always great at craft and was forever doing a new tapestry, one being of the "girl at the piano".  I always loved seeing it in a beautiful antique looking  frame above the grand piano.  So when I finish mine in about 30 years, I hope I have an artwork as beautiful as Joys.   Oh well, not sure if I know what I'm doing but will attempt to import the first couple of photos taken.  This is already after about 40 hours of cross stitching.
