April and Tito's 4th Birthday Party

Our Babies turn Four

Ok, this really has nothing to do with craft, but thought I would share it with my followers anyway.  Our little darling babies turned four in June and July.  Our babies being April and Tito, our little four legged Australian Silky Terriers who appear at the top of my blog.

We decided to throw a party for them as they have never really had one before.  It was sooo cute, with about 15 guests turning up with numerous treats and toys for them.  A great day was had by them and us of course.  Will only bore you with one more photo,  one of "our family"...Take care til next entry xxx.

Dogs Leave Paw Prints - Completed Cross Stitch

Completed Quick Kit

Hello all,  its been a while since my last entry....slack I know.  Good news is I have completed a little Lizzie Kate Quickit  "Dogs Leave Paw Prints"...it was a gift given to me by Mrs Dibble (thanks very much lovie).  I really enjoyed doing a 14 count cross stitch for a change, a lot easier to see.  Even though I have recently acquired glasses, I find it hard doing the 18 count Girls at the Piano.  However I plan on getting back into that once I finish my cute Kitty cross stitch I bought at the craft show a few months ago.  I love the aida cloth with the paw prints that I bought from "the boys" from Sewitall at the last craft show.  The dog cross stitch looks really cute.  I'm about to buy some frames from Seweitall and hang up my cute little cross stitch.  Anyway as I said, its been a while and I apologise for not writing sooner, but with nothing to show it wasn't really worth writing!!!  Hopefully things are going to be completed by the end of the year,  I would hate to get up to 210 cross stitches in my stash waiting to do..not like others - Crafty Princess (not that I'm mentioning any names of course) xxx  Thanks for reading all, and have a lovely week.  Until the next entry....

Craft Show and Girl at Piano Update

Hello followers,  sorry its been a couple of months since my last entry, I know, I am slack as!!!!  Never mind I have actually completed a third page in my Girl and the Piano cross stitch.  It really doesn't look like much more has been done but I can tell you there are many hours put into her.    I am really enjoying it but must admit I haven't done as much as I would have liked to have done by this date..but never mind.  Hopefully 2012 will see a lot more progress.  This is the latest picture of her:

I'm still enjoying using the parking method and find that it saves me a fair bit of time.

Anyway I've also had a fun week.  Went to the Craft Show at Rose Hill racecourse with Mrs Dibble, the Crafty Princess and  Jen B, oh and the Crafty Princess's mum.  It was a great day and having my car there was even better, because it meant I could sneak out once I had bought all my little gadgets and didn't have to stay all day like my other crafty buzzard friends, God love them!!!  These are some of the things I purchased:

Now I know I didn't want to be like the Crafty Princess and have too many projects on the go at once, but this was just tooo cute to go past.  Thanks to Crafty Princess, I have started the project. Thanks again for doing the zig zag on my beautiful paw print aida cloth and drawing the graph on my cloth so I knew exactly where to start etc.  Don't think I could have started the project with out you xxx.   This is my progress so far:

Ok there's not much to see so far, but a little of the white paw on the fist kitty has been done and some mouth of the second kitty.  I just love the paw print cloth.

Now here are some of my new gadgets,  woo hooo I love buying this sort of stuff:

Anyway thats about all I have to say for this entry,  once again apologies for the delay, will hopefully be able to do a fair bit more stitching now the summer has ended.

Thanks for looking and following my blog.  All the best,  Aunty Nene

Merry Christmas to All

I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all a very Happy Christmas and safe and joyous New Year. I hope you all have a bit of a break from your busy lives and get a chance to catch up with family and friends and enjoy some leisure cross stitch/crafty time.

I'd like to publish an updated photo of my BAP of Girls at the Piano but unfortunately I haven't really completed any more pages since my last entry and would only like to post after a full page is complete.  My goal WAS to get one page done a month, but I think I may have been a little too optimistic, so I'm now planning on a page every 2-3 months.

Anyway once again, enjoy the holidays if you are lucky to get them, will write again soon when I have an updated photo to post.  Take care.

Second Page Complete

Hello followers,  it is sooo nice actually saying followers now I actually have 15 of you.  Thankyou so much for checking out my progress and leaving me such encouraging comments.  Crafty Princess has done well to get me some followers so I owe it to her to atleast update my blog.  I must admit I didn't realise it would be so involved.  I think it takes me an average of 3 hours to complete one block of 100 stitches.  I'm not sure if that is really slow but the way my calculations work, I'm thinking I may need to live to 125 years to complete this Golden Kite piece.  I do love it though and can't wait til I can actually see signs of a girl or the piano, which hopefully will be only a year or two down the track (ha ha).  Anyway here goes, will try and upload my photo (without the assistance of Crafty Princess !!!!).

Yeeeeh I must say I downloaded it without too many dramas.  Hope you guys can see the progress...Until next time, take care and thanks for following.

Little Progress to Show

Well hello there followers,  its been over a month since my last entry and I'm afraid I have not progressed much further.  However I thought it would be ashame not to show the few extra squares I have stitched.  I am really enjoying it and hope to have my second page completed within the next few weeks or so, wooo hooo.  The parking thingy is working excellently and is saving me lots of time.

I have to thank the Crafty Princess for her wonderful assistance in updating my blog and showing me how picassa web photos work.  Yeeeeh now all I have to do is try and add the photo and see how it uploads.    Here goes....  Well so far so good but I did think the photo would have appeared after my "here goes" line...  Anyway followers, you get the drift...here is my latest photo.

Take care all and until my next entry, happy stitching.   xxx

Experimental Parking and One Page Complete

Wow I have two exciting things to write about today.  Firstly I finally finished my first page of this cross stitch, which means only 41 pages or so to go..yeeeeeeeeeeh.  Secondly I have started on the second page and have begun experimenting with "parking" thanks to the great assistance of The Crafty Princess (thanks lovie) and a great blog site Princess directed me to which explains exactly how to park.  I love the idea and so far it is working great.  Will update as I go, and will try and add a new picture of my progress...thanks for reading followers (ha ha ha).
